Steve Kaufman's acclaimed Kamps in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains are designed to gather musicians of all levels from around the globe with common goals - learning, playing, eating and sleeping music. Whether you are a beginner's beginner or a seasoned professional, each Kamp's classes and activities will inspire and challenge you. The intent is to maintain a non-competitive, learning atmosphere that will encourage you to grow musically and seek out new ways of playing your instrument.

Sponsored by WUMB Radio in Boston, Massachusetts, SAMW offers an exuberant week of intensive instruction, jamming, workshops, concerts and musical collaboration with instructors attuned to the needs of each student. Class topics include Flatpicking and Fingerstyle Guitar, Fiddle, Harmonica, Dulcimer, Banjo, Mandolin, Voice, Blues Styles, Performance, and Songwriting, as well as the opportunity to learn sound reinforcement skills.
